NATHANIEL MAYER
- I Found Out (7" EP - SDR.44)

Release date: April 2006

01. I Found Out (5.7 MB)
02. I Wanna Dance With You
03. I'm In Love

Back in '62, when he was only eightteen, Nathaniel Mayer had a top 40 hit for Detroit's Fortune Records (also the home of mr. dirty Andre Williams) with 'Village Of Love'. After more great rhythm & blues singles like 'I Had A Dream' and 'I Want Love And Affection (Not The House Of Correction)' he stopped performing and started roaming the ghettos of Detroit. In his absence from the stages the stories about Nathaniel got wilder and wilder only to make his legend larger.

Suddenly, after thirtyfive years, Nathaniel, backed by The Fabulous Shanks (with members of the Detroit Cobras), re-appeared with the great album 'I Just Want To Be Held' on Fat Possum Records. The three tunes on this new Stardumb 7" EP 'I Found Out' are taken from this record and are issued for the first time on vinyl in a hand numbered limited edition of one thousand. A must have for those who love raw soul.
