Back in February Bobby Manic & the Stardumb crew did short interviews with all the bands that appeared on the 'European Poppunk Virus 2' compilation. The idea was to publish them in issue 8 of the Stardumb Zine, but since that issue never saw daylight the interviews remained unpublished. Until now that is, cause from this week on we will put a few of those interviews online every week at the magazine section of the Stardumb site. The first interviews are by The Flakes (Sweden)

Yesterday
The Apers did a special guest appearance at VPRO's Club 3voor12 radio show. Dutch singer/actress Ellen ten Damme performed a 4 song acoustic live set and after that The Apers joined her for a few songs. If you only wanna hear the live set, fast forward the first 25 minutes of the radio show.

Those crazy Sonic Dolls guys just released a new 7" limited to only 333 copies! It's called 'Blitzkreig Bop' and it's a cover 7" of a classic limited Ramones 7", with 'Havana Affair' as the B-side. They kept the artwork really simular to the original 7" (the misspelling of the title was there on the original 7" cover too) and it will be available soon from only a few mailorders, including Stardumb and Interpunk.com. Make sure you'll get your copy before they're gone!

If you're from Germany and have your eyes open, you probably already know this, but our beloved Backwood Creatures are famous TV heroes now! The band appeared several times already on the show TV Total on Pro 7. It's a daily show with almost 2 million viewers a day. They are in a battle with their hard rockin' friends the Cellophane Suckers. If you can watch Pro 7 on your TV it might be worth checking out the show in the coming days, cause the battle is coming to an end!

Some sad news on this cold sunday afternoon: Yesterday morning (Saturday Feb 22, 2003) former Vindictives guitarplayer Dr. Bob was found his car dead of a heroin overdose. He was 49 years old. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. Dr. Bob R.I.P.

A lot of news about The Apers:
-Yesterday their new album 'The Buzz Electric' was released in a sold out Rotown in Rotterdam.
-The day before they played live on Dutch national radio. You can still see and hear parts of that show on the 3voor12 site... While I'm writing this it's still on their frontpage, but if you check it out later you can always search for Apers of course!
-At Interpunk.com they have new Apers shirts available. Check em out!
-There's a couple of new shows added to the Groovie Ghoulies / Apers tour at our shows section.
-Oh, and Kevin Aper is gonna marry Ellen ten Damme in Las Vegas soon. Congratulations to both!

As a lot of you already noticed on February 7th & 8th we're organizing another Winter Rumble festival in Belgium, together with our good friends of Teenage Head. We have a massive line-up feat. the Peawees, Backwood Creatures, Dirtshakes, Wiseguy, The Apers, Groovie Ghoulies, Lulabelles, PPM and the Hangmen. The Boonaraaas were suppposed to play too, but unfortunately they can't make it. Thank god for the lovely Battledykes who are filling up the empty spot! Last weekend the debut album 'Burning The Tracks' of Wiseguy got released. Soon they'll take off for their first European tour, but before that they will do a live show on Dutch National radio show Club Lek. All Dutchies make sure you tune in on 3FM on Wednesday January 22nd between 10 pm and 1 am!

One misfortune rides on the back of another? I'm not sure about that, but fact is that after the news about The Ragin' Hormones split, we have some more break up news... There were some rumours about it already, but we got it confirmed now: The Favorats from Germany broke up too. They did their last show in December on Friday the 13th. In 2000 and 2001 they released two great 7 inches on Stardumb.

We got some sad news... The Ragin' Hormones broke up... We don't have much more info than this either, but we felt like letting you know anyway! The Ragin' Hormones started in 1999 and released one 7" EP and 1 split 7" with Toys That Kill on Stardumb.
